Autumn graduated with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN, in 2009. She spent the first five years in practice focused on Family Medicine, gaining invaluable experience in patient care. For the past ten years, Autumn has been working at Sanford Urgent Care, where she has broadened her skills in acute care.
Throughout her time in primary care, Autumn noticed a significant connection between weight issues and the conditions she was treating. Unfortunately, the education provided was limited in effective weight management strategies, and time with patients was often too short to address these concerns comprehensively. When the opportunity arose at the Wellness District to focus on weight loss and wellness, Autumn recognized it as a calling. She is passionate about helping patients prevent the diseases she witnessed in her previous role and finds immense joy in guiding individuals as they transform their bodies and improve their health.
Autumn looks forward to collaborating with patients to overcome the challenges of achieving a sustainable, healthy lifestyle.
On a personal note, Autumn is married and a proud parent to three boys, along with two dogs, two axolotls, and two crested geckos. Her family keeps her on her toes, whether they’re running to the boys’ various sporting events or enjoying summers at their lake cabin near Fergus Falls, MN. To relieve stress, Autumn loves to exercise, especially weight lifting with the Bodi (formerly known as Beachbody) app in her basement.
Volunteering is close to Autumn’s heart, particularly initiatives aimed at addressing food insecurity in children. She regularly volunteers with organizations like the Great Plains Food Bank and Feed My Starving Children, believing that every child deserves access to nutritious food.
Autumn is excited to embark on this journey with you toward better health and well-being!
