Is there any downtime?

SkinPen treatments have minimal downtime. On average, patients are slightly red (comparable to a light sunburn) for 2-3 days. Some patients heal completely within 24 hours!

The procedure takes 30-60 minutes depending on the size of the area treated and the severity of the damage of the skin.

 

Many people will start to see and feel brighter, healthier skin about a week after your SkinPen treatment. The natural repair process of your skin continues to progress for several weeks following the procedure! For best results, a series of 3 or more treatments, 4+ weeks apart, may be recommended by your Provider. We offer complimentary consultations so we can create a treatment plan specifically for you!

PRP allows you to use the power of your body’s natural healing mechanisms for anti-aging! PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections can help restore facial aging with the usage of growth factors derived from your own blood. This appeals to many patients as a natural way to help fight against aging by minimizing wrinkles, strengthening skin, diminishing pigment, reducing fine lines and sun damage. PRP can be added on to SkinPen and Halo treatments to optimize results and promote more efficient healing.

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. As part of the body’s healing ability, platelets and other components in human blood migrate to the point of care. Platelets are well known to release numerous growth factors that respond to tissue injury and initiate and promote the conditions for healing. This is used for many conditions, including anti-aging treatments and hair loss.

 

Blood will be drawn from your arm to collect and spin down into platelet rich plasma. The treatment area will be numbed and PRP is either injected into areas such as undereyes, smile lines, or acne scars or used as an add on to SkinPen or Halo procedures, the PRP is applied topically to the skin mid or post procedure. You can expect slight tenderness for a day or two to the areas treated, if injected. If bruising or swelling occurs, it usually heals quickly!
